STATE (TAMIL NADU )MEDICAL COUNCIL REGISTRATION ( updated sept 2020)

So, after  getting NBE MARKSHEET/PASS Certificate
we need to register in the concerned State Medical Council for provisional
registration certificate. Previously we had to do this in both the MCI and
State Medical Council. Now , its enough to register in the concerned State
Medical Council.

Concerned State Medical Council - to get provisional registration certificate
from the State which you are going to do internship
1) If you wish to do your CRRI(internship) in Delhi, then you can apply to Delhi medical council
2) If you wish to do your CRRI in Kerala , then you can apply to Kerala Medical Council
3) If you wish to do your CRRI in either Pondicherry or Tamilnadu, you can apply to Tamilnadu Medical Council
if you got provisional registration certificate from a concerned state medical  council, you had to
complete your internship in the same state and get permanent registration from the same state.

eg. if you got your provision registration certificate from Delhi Medical Council, you had to finish your
CRRI there, and get your premanent registration from the Delhi Medical Council itself.
After then, if you wish, you can add your name to your Home State Registry (ex, a Tamilnadu guy/girl got
his/her permanent registration from Delhi can later add his name to
tamilnadu registry by requesting in Tamilnadu Medical Council)

The following are the procedures in Tamilnadu State Medical Council

Persons finished from CHINESE UNIVERSITIES Whose internships are valid can apply for permanent registration in tnmc online ( Rs. 20000 should be paid for it )

Tamilnadu medical council has changed the process of applying for provisional certificate and converted most of the process online . The provisional certificate is itself is divided into temporary and permanent provisional and  the process can be separated into three categories 

 1) Getting temporary provisional certificate from TNMC. 

 2) Getting NOC from hospital where you will be doing internship 

 3) Submitting NOC and getting Permanent provisional certificate from TNMC 

1) Getting Temporary Provisional Certificate from TNMC : 

              First  Temporary Provisional Certificate should be applied from TNMC website . The following documents might be needed for applying 

1) 10 th certificate 

2) 12 th certificate 

3) degree certificates 

4) Aadhar card 

5) Passport Photos with name and date ( recently taken ) 

6) ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DETAILS  from 1st year to 6 th year ( photo given below ) 

Rs. 10,000 might be needed in this process . 

All the needed documents must be Translated in English . 

There is no need to get mandatory red seals in 10 th and 12 th certificate 

2) Getting NOC from hospital : 

  Whichever the hospital you are going to do internship / selected for internship in hospitals in Tamilnadu , you have to get NOC from the hospital mentioning the time duration of your internship period .

3) Applying for Permanent Provisional certificate : 

          We have to submit the NOC from the concerned hospital and have to reapply for permanent provisional certificate. Rs. 1000 may be charged for it. 

( Incase , if you are going to do internship in more than 1 hospital , it’s better to get NOCs for those hospitals first itself and to submit it rather than applying separately twice 

eg., if you are going to do in Pondy gh, then you can get noc from the place where you are going to do psm posting and   NOC from Pondy gh at the same time. ) 

Permanent provisional certificate comes with a time duration specified ( 1 year ) . If you are taking an extension or leave or redo a specific posting , then tnmc needed to be informed and then extend the date in provisional certificate.
