Attestation from the Indian Embassy.

After your documents are apostilled by Department of State Authentication and Apostille Services , you have to get it attestated from the Indian Embassy. Getting your Diploma and Marksheet (Medical School Transcript ) attestated from the Indian Embassy is optional, as India is in Hague Convention. "Attestation" sheet issued by International Co-operation Department (YSMU) , should be attestated by the Indian Embassy for its validity. Its better to get attestation of Marksheet (Medical School Transcript ) and Diploma from the embassy , as some places ( like MCI or State Medical Councils or Teaching Hospitals ) may ask for it .

1) Filled Application form
2) Diploma
3) Marksheet (medical school transcript )
4) Attestation sheet
5) diploma photocopy
6) Marksheet photocopy
7) Attestation sheet photocopy
8) Passport and Resident Card photocopies
9) Money for Services
10 ) Some times they may ask for student card copy (They dint ask us, but have it with you anyway. )

Place :
Indian embassy is in Dzorapi Street, behind the Nairi Hospital . Submitting the documents is from 10.00 am to around 1.00 pm and Time for collection of documents is from 5.00 pm -around 7.00 pm. They make ask us to come one by one in there and sign visitors ledgerbook and wait for sometime, until they proceed . They may give you payment slip , and say the date to come to collect the documents. If you are early to go to India, then  bring your tickets to request them for collection of documents earlier.

(Updated) Cost : (5950*3 )+ 1000 = 18,850 for 3 documents  (including welfare fund  ) . To be paid directly at the counter in Indian Embassy.

Power of Attorney :
If there are some members , who need to go to India earlier, then they may give Power of Attorney to particular persons/friends for doing these works ( Getting Apostille and Attestation ). The friend may do these works for him, on his behalf.

It is compulsory for Indian Foriegn Medical Graduates  from Post-soviet countries like Armenia, Georgia , Ukraine , etc , Russia and few others to do Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship in MCI recognised hospitals or medical colleges in India. Only after that, you will be issued Permanent Registration Number. Those who have completed in China (some universities ) , Philipines ( not sure ? ) and few other countries, need not do any kind of internship here. STATE (TAMIL NADU )MEDICAL COUNCIL REGISTRATION ( updated sept 2020)

So, after  getting NBE MARKSHEET/PASS Certificate we need to register in the concerned State Medical Council for provisional registration certificate. Previously we had to do this in both the MCI and State Medical Council. Now , its enough to register in the concerned State Medical Council. Concerned State Medical Council - to get provisional registration certificate from the State which you are going to do internship 1) If you wish to do your CRRI(internship) in Delhi, then you can apply to Delhi medical council 2) If you wish to do your CRRI in Kerala , then you can apply to Kerala Medical Council 3) If you wish to do your CRRI in either Pondicherry or Tamilnadu, you can apply to Tamilnadu Medical Council if you got provisional registration certificate from a concerned state medical  council, you had to complete your internship in the same state and get permanent registration from the same state. eg. if you got your provision registration certificate from Delhi Medic
