(UPDATED Sept -2018)Pondicherry Medical College - Internship Details

We can do internship in any medical college anywhere in India . Medical colleges are teaching hospitals. What we have in the list is for non teaching hospitals (though some medical colleges names were also there ). I confirmed it with MCI by calling them over phone . If you guys have any doubts , you can call them too.

Things to take with us to the college :

Photocopy of 

1) Degree Certificate

2)  Marksheet/Transcript

3)  NBE marksheet  

4)  Eligibility marksheet 

5)  Character Certificate 

6) Transfer / NOC Certificate 

7) Passport 

8) Provisional registration certificate 

and 

9) 4 recently photographs

10) DD for Rs. 3,000  to " The Director , IGMCRI, Pondicherry " for fillling the application form ( verify it with the college administration ) (It is non refundable )
(TAKE DD ONLY AFTER CONFIRMATION FROM THE ADMINISTRATION. DONT WASTE MONEY BEFOREHAND)

They will give you an application form , which you have to fill and paste a photograph on it. 

IGMCRI is affliated to Pondicherry University. But , now they asked for permission to take interns themselves and no need to go to Pondy univ.

Now, no need to get NOC from Pondicherry University . 
Updated info : it's 4 lakhs for medical college( not 1 lakh ) which should be paid to IGMCRI FOR INTERNSHIP AS OF 14 TH SEPTEMBER.

DD of 3 lakh should be taken in the favour of  The Director , IGMCRI , Pondicherry , payable at puducherry. (Not refundable )

Sometimes banks in Pondicherry wouldnot allow taking DD of 3 lakh there , as we dont have account there. One of my friend suggested to take DD in your home town , from your own bank account.
The whole process may not take more than 10 days. But the college wont take more people (?) and they take only during certain point of time ( information awaited ) . Ask in the college administrative office for more details.
